What is really a domain name?

Instead of using the ip adress of your website, you use a domain name so that you get found online. 

Domain names are used in network marketing when promoting different products, businesses or apps. and for a domain name identifies a network domain, or it represents an Internet Protocol (IP) resource, such as a personal computer used to enter the Internet, a server computer hosting a website, or the web site itself or any other service communicated via the Internet. In 2017, 330.6 million domain names had been registered.

Using a domain name is good for branding you could enter your own name or the niche you are into, within the domain name. When using a domain name ,make sure that it is a name that people will easily remember. It should be quite short and to the point. Do not use a domain name that is more then 7-9 characters.
