Now it is not enough to make a few pins and by doing so you will make a lot of money.
No you got to be consistent and pin up to 5 times a day.
Over time you can generate quite a lot of free traffic this way.
You could also if you want pay a fee to promote your pins. There is a paid software called Tailwind that can help you get even more traffic to your pins. With Tailwind you joij different so called tribes where you exchange sharing, comments and likes on each other content.
